  President's Message

FEBRUARY 2015

What a great start to 2015 with our new meeting location and wonderful program speaker... If you missed the excitement of Monday's meeting, just wait to see what's in store for February.

For those of you who were unable to attend, here is a brief update. The day started as the board members arrived for a 10 a.m. meeting. Fire trucks surrounded the Fort Worth Club and some of us were unable to access the garage. Several of your undaunted board members decided to climb 12 flights of stairs since the elevators were not working. To top that off, we had a record number of attendees, above the number of reservations we had guaranteed. In true customer service fashion, the staff of the Fort Worth Club came through with flying colors, adding an additional table and feeding everyone a delicious lunch.

Our program was quite interesting and entertaining. Dr. Russell James' presentation was both informational and eye-opening, especially when he was sharing studies recently completed about Charitable Gift Planning and Emerging Trends. Watch your inbox for information about how to access his slide presentation. It's well worth the time to review.

Now, since you are reading this, it means you've opened the chapter's newsletter. Please take a minute to look over all the information we've compiled for you...and don't forget to register for next month's meeting. It's going to be great!!!

Thank you for being part of the Fort Worth Metro Chapter and I look forward to seeing everyone at the February 9th meeting.

Onward,

Lyn Downing, CFRE
