President's Message
|
2014 is history and 2015 awaits us. Such excitement is in the air. And change. As we mentioned at the December meeting, we are moving our luncheon location. The Omni has been great, but they were unable to accommodate our meeting schedule.
So we are moving to the Fort Worth Club. Our meetings are on the second Monday of each month, so mark your calendar for January 12 at 11:30 AM. We will meet in the Trinity Room on the 12th floor. Our luncheon prices for members and guests will remain the same for the time being, and the only real change is that there is no valet parking at the FW Club. So be prepared with come cash as you exit the parking garage. We will have a reduced rate , probably around $3.00 for the luncheon attendees. Plan to arrive as close to 11:30 as possible, as the other option is surface parking about two blocks from the Club.
Making the most out of your membership
Along with the local benefits of connecting with fellow fundraisers and attending programs close to work, we have many resources available to us through AFP International. When workday conversations turn to subjects you may need help with, one of the first places you can go is to the AFP International website. If you don't find what you need in their online library then you can submit a research request. You will receive an email with links to relevant resources and examples. Click on the link below to find out more about AFP Resource Center.

It means a lot to a manager that AFP exists not just for the individual members but as a resource for the organization. This is a free service for AFP members.
Looking ahead to 2015
Thank you for your time and commitment as a member of the Fort Worth Metro Chapter and please feel free to share feedback. I look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year at the January 12th program at the Fort Worth Club. Program details are in this newsletter.
