Portico Benefits Decisions

Health Care, Pension, Life Insurance

Deadline
Selecting the health benefits you will provide as a congregation for your Rostered Leaders and staff must happen by Oct. 14, 2013.

Use the Employer Link
at Portico Benefits to make your selection and learn more.

ELCA Churchwide and the Alaska Synod recommend offering the Gold+ option, as this most nearly parallels the benefits offered by Portico in the past.

The process can be complicated, and we are here to help.
Call the Service Center at Portico 800.352.2876
or the Synod Office (907)272-8899 for guidance.

Benefit Costs Calculator on the Portico Website to help determine the specific cost of providing benefits to each individual.

Once in a Lifetime Life Insurance:

This period of Open Enrollment (Fall 2013) is the only time that an individual will not have to provide Evidence Of Insurability in order to qualify for Supplemental Life Insurance with Portico. Portico is offering, for the first time ever, Supplemental Term Life Insurance that is available at an extremely affordable group rate. This is an optional supplement to the Life Insurance that will be replacing the "Survivor Benefits" members are familiar with from the past.
