Welcome Back!

The first full week of school is upon us and we're all looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Thank you to all the volunteers who staffed the ice cream social, and to you parents for taking the time to visit. For those of unable to attend, we encourage you to visit our Google Sign-ups to review student activities and volunteer opportunities:

You can also pay fees/make payments online anytime:

Coffee and Kleenex Tuesday

Sending your child off to Kindergarten can be emotional - be sure to stop in the MPR after drop-off on Tuesday, 8/16 to enjoy coffee and visit with other Kindergarten parents - there will be plenty of tissues!

Starting elementary school can be just as overwhelming for parents as it is for children. Spend some time getting acquainted with our school:

Staying Connected at Prairie

Knowing what's going on is essential to making the most of your time at Prairie. We work hard to make sure you have the information you need for your student(s).

One of the most important things you can do is Join the PTA. This gives you access to Prairie's directory, which you'll lean on more than you realize. And this year, it's online - so everyone in the household can access it from anywhere.

Weekly Panther newsletters, the PTA website, the PTA Blog and Prairie School website are all invaluable sources of information - and are updated weekly.

Chipotle Fundraiser 8/23

Throughout the school year Prairie partners with area restaurants to raise funds for the school. These dining out fundraisers can provide a significant boost to our school's programming.

Take the family to dinner at Chipotle in the Village (6920 Mission Rd.) on Tuesday, 8/23 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m

Just present this  flyer when you order and 50% of your order total goes back to Prairie!

Email  us with any questions.

Back to School Night, 8/24

These first couple weeks, teachers and students will be getting into their routines. Parents are invited to join us for Back to School Night on 8/24 at 6:30 to hear about your student's class curriculum and other important details about the classroom.

There will be two sessions for your convenience:
  • 6:30 - 7:10
  • 7:20 - 8:00
This is a parent-only event. Please let your child's teacher know if you can't attend and he/she can send the information home with your student.

You can also stop by the gym and sign up for volunteer opportunities and make payments if you missed the ice cream social and would rather not pay online.

Email  us with any questions.
