Last Week's Sisterhood Tu B'Shvat Seder at Sharon Sobel's home!

Order Shalach Manot for Purim!

In the Book of Esther, two of the mitzvot that are associated with Purim are the sending of gifts of food and the giving of tzedakah. In verse 9:22 of the book of Esther it says: "[Mordechai wrote to the Jews] to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor."

At TBC, we combine these two mitzvot into our Shalach Manot fundraiser, a fun way to support TBC by sending gifts to friends, as well as TBC clergy, staff, teachers and tutors. Please join us in celebrating Purim through this annual tradition!  To order, please see information on the TBC website. All orders must be received by February 26.

And Who is My Neighbor? New Wi-ACT Four-Part Series

We are excited to share a new opportunity for community building and education. The Wilton Clergy Association, the Wilton Interfaith Action Committee (Wi-ACT), and the Wilton Library are sponsoring: AND WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR? How Our Community Can Respond to Differences, Divisions and Conflicts. This will be a four part series that takes place on March 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 7:30-8:30 pm at the Wilton Library.  More details about the specific sessions will be coming soon, but we are pleased to announce that Rabbi Bearman will be participating in the fourth session (March 31) which will include a panel of local clergy. PLEASE NOTE: Because of this community-wide opportunity, we will be postponing the previously-announced Adult Ed sessions on "Climbing Your Family Tree".

Railroad Crossings are Dangerous!

There are a few railroad crossings in the vicinity of TBC. We regularly hear the blaring whistle echoing up the Norwalk River valley as trains arrive at the Branchville Station. There are times when vehicles get backed up crossing the tracks on Portland Avenue entering Route 7. Following last week's deadly Metro-North train accident near Valhalla, NY, Wilton, CT fire chief, Ron Kanterman offers railroad crossing safety information Click here for the Fire Chief's Safety summary, as reprinted in GOOD Morning Wilton.
