Hebrew School Services with

Rabbi Bearman

In Hebrew School this week, Rabbi Bearman presented a "Star Wars Service" which included classic quotes from the movies paired with elements of the traditional evening service.

As each slide appeared, she asked our students to vote on whether the quote was a good match for the theme of the prayer.

After the service ended, Rabbi Bearman reminded everyone that while the words of the prayers may be hard to understand, the ideas behind them show up everywhere in our lives.

She challenged our students to be on the lookout for elements of books, movies, songs, etc. that remind them of the prayers they're learning in school

and then announced that she wants our 4th-7th graders to be spend time looking for these connections because wants to make a new service out of their discoveries!
