Membership Note
Hello Lowcountry Sisters,

I hope you have enjoyed your summer with lots of fun and family time. Your PEARLS executive committee has been working so that we can hit the road running in September.

If you are receiving this letter, you are or were a member of PEARLS at one time. In the past two years, these are the organizations you have blessed from your membership.

2015 Theme: Breaking the cycle of economic dependence by developing strengths and skills.
  • Hampton County Library received $3,000 for purchasing books for children in the areas of science, math and history.
  • Hampton County Literacy Council received $2,000 to train new volunteers and small group tutors.
  • Mt. Pleasant AME Church received $1,000 to fund a program in teaching parenting skills for teenage mothers.

2016 Theme: Assisting with the needs of our Hampton County citizens.
  • Hickory Grove Baptist Church (fiscal agent for Circle of Hope) received $2,500 to provide assistance to persons in Hampton County receiving cancer treatments.
  • United Ministries of Hampton County (Open Arms Fellowship, First Baptist of Hampton, Brunson Baptist, New Abundant Life Church of God) received $2,000 to provide additional shelving and heavy duty carts for stocking food shelves.
  • Hope Haven of the Lowcountry received $2,100 to upgraded their video camera for child abuse interviews conducted by law enforcement, DSS and court officials.
  • Open Arms Fellowship Church received $1,400 to assist in funding their Teen After School Center.

As you can tell, we have been good stewards of your investment in PEARLS. July is the beginning of our PEARLS fiscal year and we need your help to continue our commitment of making a difference in Hampton County. We hope that you will renew your PEARLS membership for $100 or more and join other women who care about causes that matter.
