Stop Hunger Now Benefit Concert
The
Stop Hunger Now Benefit Concert is on
Sunday, April 26th at 4 pm
at the WEPCO Church Complex, 36 New Canaan Road, Wilton, with many Middlebrook students (as well as some Wilton High School students) performing along with Wilton Police Officer Anna Rita Tornello, a wonderful lyric soprano, and Erica vanderLinde Feidner, an accomplished concert pianist. The Concert raises funds both for Middlebrook's 20,000 meal event by 7 Green Team students on May 14th and also for the (hopefully) 200,000 meal Wi-ACT event on October 24th (up from 160,000 meals packaged this past October) with over 800 volunteers doing the packaging during five shifts. TBC members have always been great supporters of the Stop Hunger Now project, so let's pitch in! Admission: $10.

Celebrate Cantor Sobel's 25 Years
In the next few weeks we will kick off our Annual Fund Raiser which will culminate in a Shabbat Celebration and Special Oneg to celebrate TBC's history and Cantor Sobel's 25 years at TBC. We have so much to celebrate and will be reaching out to everyone to participate in some way. Please save the date, June 5th
, to attend a very special service and event and begin thinking about the many ways you can contribute to our Annual Fund Raiser in Cantor Sobel's honor.
If you'd like to get more involved in this exciting program, please contact Dina Gumins. |

B'nai Mitzvah Projects
A number of our B'nai Mitzvah students have asked to have their mitzvah projects highlighted on the TBC website. They include:
Jimmy Curto, Grace Goldberg, Maden Herve, Jack Potash, Drew Saumier, and Ethan Klotz. In some cases students are seeking help from the congregation in making their projects successful. Please take a look
by clicking here!
All students preparing for their bat and bar mitzvahs are encouraged to complete a mitzvah project profile so that information about their project can be posted on the TBC website.

Norwalk Emergency Shelter
Open Door Shelter - Soup Kitchen at 4 Merritt St, Norwalk 203-866-1057. We help prepare and cook dinner for over 100 Shelter clients. We work under the supervision of a chef, serve and then clean up after the meal. This is a very hands on, very satisfying volunteer effort. The only requirement is that volunteers be over 18 years old.
We volunteer the fourth Thursday of every month. We usually have a TBC crew of about 3-4 people. The cooking starts at 3:30 pm and we work until 7:00 pm. You can come for all of the sessions, or come early (3:30-5:30 pm) and/or come later (5:30-7:00 pm) or any time in between.
Dates
(4th Thursday of the month except dates with asterisks): April 23, May 28, June 25, July 23, August 27, September 24, October 22, November 19* & December 17*.

 Social Action Volunteers Needed!
TBC Social Action Committee. The TBC Social Action Committee has many local ways for you to help others, from pitching in at a soup kitchen to preparing dinner at an emergency shelter. New opportunities, dates, and times are posted to the TBC website, so please take a look and see where you can help.
Other Community Opportunities. There are also other ways to get involved in our communities. You can serve as a foster family, deliver food to those in need, and/or host a high school child in the ABC program. Click here to participate.
