Fishing Tournament Contests & Rules

BEST FIVE ALIVE Bass Contest  

The winners of this catch & release bass tournament will be the top 3 teams of two anglers who catch the best 5 live bass (black, smallmouth or largemouth) by total weight. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 total weights:  1st = $300, 2nd = $200, 3rd = $100. Payouts with 20 boat minimum, so bring your fishing friends!

BIGGEST BASS Contest

If you'd like to participate in an optional contest for the biggest live bass of the tournament, purchase the option for an additional $10 per person when you register. Prize is 50% payback of all option fees, which goes to one winner! 

DOCK FISHING Contest

Don't have a boat but would still like to participate? A fun, low-key fishing contest will be held for adults and kids on the dock at Delta Shores Resort from 10 am-12pm. Bring your own fishing gear. Prizes and awards will be given to winners of a couple fun contests! 

CONTEST RULES & GUIDELINES

  • Minimum fish 13 inches - must be alive. 
  • Maximum of 5 fish per team of 2 anglers. Anglers without a partner may fish solo.
  • Only artificial lures may be used. No live bait. No trolling. No snagging, chumming or cheating.
  • Boat anglers must have functioning live well, or equivelant, to keep fish healthy and alive.
  • Dock anglers must weigh in fish caught immediately, then release back into the water.
  • Each person 16 years and older must have valid California fishing license and observe all CA Dept. of Fish & Game, US Coast Gaurd and CA state laws.
  • This competition is friendly and based on the gentleman's honor system with the focus of giving to worthwhile causes. Good sportsmandship and stewardship of the environment is a must. Tournament judge has final decision concerning all rules and any disputes.
  • Additional rules and regulations will be provided at or before check in.
  • Each angler is asked to donate a minimum entry fee at registration. Donations/entry fees will be made directly to the charity and are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
  • Pre-registration is requested for this tournament. Event details provided after registration.

Both are 501c3 tax exempt nonprofit organizations.
