A Prayer for Our Parish
During this time of transition, in your daily devotions, please include this prayer for our parish family.
O God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your whole church, and so guide us in this congregation during our time of transition and discernment that we shall grow in our commitment to one another and to the cause of your Christ and that we may, in time, choose a faithful pastor to join us in our ministry in our congregation, community and diocese; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Sunday School Teachers Needed!
This is a wonderful ministry for any and all parishioners, not just parents of young children. Come share your experiences with Holy Comforter's children, and in return experience the joy and wonder they have to share. We team-teach, which means you should only be responsible for leading one Sunday per month, allowing you time for your own formation and/or coffee hour. No teaching experience? Don't fret! The curriculum is easy to follow and everything is prepared for you in advance. We need teachers for all ages--from Pre-kindergarten through Fourth Grade. Please contact
Kristen Long for more information and to join this exciting ministry!

Join the ARC Ministry
This Sunday, August 28, 11:30 a.m.
All interested Parishioners are invited to join the Addiction and Recovery Care Ministry (ARC) of Holy Comforter in the Lillian Croy Room downstairs. This ministry is working to support and further awareness in our Parish the issues of addictions of all kinds and how to offer help and support to those in our community. We want people to have a faith-based, non-judgmental resource for support of these issues. Beginning this month, the ARC Ministry will meet monthly for education, support, discussion and fellowship. Questions? Please contact:
Alexandra MacCracken or
the Rev. Valerie Hayes.
