~
Our UCC Penn Northeast Conference minister, the Rev. Alan Miller, will be our special guest this Sunday, August 28 at our 10:45 a.m. service of worship.
Prior to becoming our conference minister in 2002, Alan was Associate Conference Minister in the Southern Conference, North Carolina. Before conference ministry, he served as an associate pastor at St. Stephen's UCC, Perkasie, and pastor of Greenawalds UCC here in Allentown. He is a graduate of Lehigh University and the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Rhys Williams also will be back with us again on Sunday as a guest musician, playing a cello prelude.
Gathering music begins at 10:30 a.m. and the liturgical service begins at 10:45.
See you on Sunday!

Wanted: Your Opinions and Ideas
The City of Allentown recently launched a community-wide survey and you're invited to participate ... and you just might win a prize for completing the survey!
As Allentown grows and changes, we are in competition with other cities for businesses to relocate here, so it is important that our city and regional economic development professionals present an up-to-date picture describing who we are as well as what we are becoming.
Our city's Community and Economic Development staff have partnered with North Star Destination Strategies, a national consulting firm that will help define and promote the city. This research survey is one opportunity for area residents to give our input.
As an incentive for you to take the time to complete the survey, you will be entered in a drawing to win one of 15 gift cards for downtown Allentown businesses. Note that to be eligible you need to enter your contact information in the last question of the survey; the survey needs to be completed in one sitting, so please allow yourself about 15 minutes. Share your input by clicking here.
Thank you!

Church Parking:
You should enter the Gross McGinley (Crown Tower) lot only by way of Seventh St.
DO NOT attempt to enter the lot through the alley!
Look for the blue Liberty Bell Church Parking sign at the entrance to the lot on the north side of their building (pictured here).
Thank you to Dave Dettra for his service as our volunteer parking lot attendant!
NOTE: Depending on the time you arrive, the sign may be at the lot on the south side of the building.
|
Remember, too, that street parking often is available both on Hamilton and Seventh Streets.
If you need assistance with parking, please call the church office (610-435-2412).
