(GOLDEN FLEECE) MAGAZINE

Zolotoe Runo ("Golden Fleece") is considered to be one of Russia's most beautiful art and literary journals. Published in Moscow from 1906 - 1909, this Silver Age magazine succeeded Mir Iskusstva ("The World of Art") and played an important role in Russian artistic life.

Zolotoe Runo
was published in parallel Russian and French texts. It contained color tip-ins and reproductions of contemporary Russian and European art as well as literary works and criticism.

Contributors to this journal included B. Anisfeld, A. Bely, A. Benois, I. Bilibin, A. Blok, M. Dobuzhinsky, M. Kuzmin, P. Kuznetsov, M. Saryan, and K. Somov.  

 

Offered here are 13 numbers of Zolotoe Runo in 10 issues from 1906 ## 2, 3, 5, 7-9, 10; 1907 # 5; 1908 ## 2 and 11-12; 1909 ## 4, 6 (Matisse issue) plus duplicates of 1906 ## 5 and 7-9. The issues from 1906-1907 are in the large format.
