55th Annual Oak Grove Barbecue: Saturday, October 15
The 55th Annual Oak Grove Barbecue will be held on Saturday, October 15, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m . as we return to our traditional third Saturday! Ten tickets will be mailed to each Oak Grove household after Labor Day. Watch for this mailing which will contain information about the Barbecue and how you can help ensure its success.  Circle this date on your calendar and tell your friends and neighbors to mark their calendars also. The Barbecue is a great day for the community as well as the church.   Over 25 church, community, and mission causes benefit. Volunteer sign up will be available in mid-September for the nearly 500 workers needed to make the Barbecue a success. Additional information will be available in the coming weeks.  Barbecue questions may be directed either to Chairman Wallace Moreman

UMW CRAFT SALE  and BAZAAR
   
Our annual Craft Sale will be coming soon. The date is October 15 , our annual UMM Barbecue.  We hope that many of our talented church members are planning ahead and working on crafts which will be sold at our barbecue. All proceeds go to our local missions. Our Needles and Prayers group is already busy working on beautiful knitted items. We welcome all kinds of arts and crafts and appreciate our talented members sharing their beautiful items. We also welcome vintage jewelry, and gift items which are in good condition. Library Book Sale
The Library Committee hoped to reinstate our Book Sale at this year's BBQ but now must announce that there will be no Book Sale again this year.  Please donate any books you have to other worthwhile causes.  God willing, the Book Sale will return next year!
