Approximately 50 students, staff and faculty gathered Friday, July 15 at noon to discuss the epidemic of recent tragedies across the country. Over the course of the hour, participants shared feelings ranging from sadness and frustration to angst, fear and hope. Read more>>

The UNL LGBTQA+ Resource Center will host an institute for the Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals  on July 22. UNL staff, faculty and graduate students are encouraged to register to participate.  Sessions will highlight emerging practices in gender identity inclusion, policy, research and student support. As of August 1, all promotional messages in the residence halls and dining centers will move to digital signs. Table tents will no longer be allowed as a means of promoting sustainable practices and reducing paper consumption. Student organizations and other university departments and affiliates can submit digital sign requests. Topping the number of Twitter users in just 3 days, Pokemon Go will long be remembered as the hottest app for 2016. The app that works through geocaching has players constantly flicking and chasing digital creatures. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln welcomed players to Memorial Stadium on July 14 for a limited time. Read more>>
More than 350 incoming students participated in the Power Up Weekend on June 10-12. Organized by New Student Enrollment and co-sponsored by University Housing, Campus Recreation, Nebraska Unions and Student Involvement, the weekend provides an extended campus orientation including a glimpse at campus life.
