New Advisory Board for Volunteer Clinical Faculty
The UCSF School of Medicine Dean's Office established and appointed an 11-member Volunteer Clinical Faculty (VCF) Advisory Board to provide strategic guidance and advice on planning, problem solving, and vision to advance medical education through active outreach to volunteer faculty. The establishment of the board validates that volunteer faculty are important partners in medical education at UCSF, and that these board-certified health care professionals play a significant role in advancing UCSF's mission to transform health care.

Med Ed Grand Rounds and Visiting Scholar

Dr. Alan Jaap, BSc, MD, FRCP(Edin) for a MedEd Grand Rounds lecture on October 5, noon-1pm. Dr. Jaap, is a consultant physician and director of final year at Edinburgh Medical School. He has been awarded a Traveling Fellowship for 2016 to visit the USA and Netherlands to investigate the use of entrustable professional activities in improving the preparation of newly qualified doctors for clinical practice.
A Med Ed Grand Rounds lecture,
Advancing the OSCE - the Edinburgh Experience is planned for October 5, noon-1pm.
