September is here and that brings two exciting things, the start of a new school year and the Annual Friends of the Library Used Book Sale!

Information on the book sale is below.  We hope to see you there!

For those heading to school or have family starting school we wish you a happy school year and look forward to being a resource for you this year!

Book Sale!
Annual Book Sale: September 14-18th

The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held from Wednesday, Sept. 14 to Saturday, Sept. 18!

September 14th: 4:00-7:30pm* 
*Members Only Pre-Sale! 
Friends of the Library membership starts at $10.  Visit their website for more information.

September 15: 9:00am-7:30pm
Friends Bake Sale Starting at 9:30am

September 16: 9:00am - 5:30pm

September 17: 9:00 - 11:30am
Special $3 Bag Sale!

September 18: Noon-3:00pm
Everything goes!  Remaining books are free!

Farmer's Market
Garden Tales Farmer's Market

The Garden Tales Farmer's Market, sponsored by The Friends of the Library, continues through October 27 on Thursday afternoons from 3:00-6:00pm in the Library Parking Lot!

When you visit the Farmer's Market you may see Erin, our market organizer, handing out recipes to make with your fresh produce. Below are some of her favorites.

Exercise Your Mind and Body this Fall
Watertown Walking History

Join local history enthusiast 
Charlotte Groth for an evening walk and learn about Watertown History. 

Thursdays at 6:00pm. All walks start in the library lobby.

Wellness Series - Get Fit at Your Desk

Every month, join instructors and practitioners from Facilitated Healing as they share ways to reclaim control of your health and well-being.

On Monday, September 19th at 6:30pm, join Facilitated Healing Co-Owner, Loree Walker for a workshop on how to Get Fit at Your Desk.

Beginning Yoga

During this beginning yoga series instructor Ariane will teach a balanced mix of deep stretching and relaxation. You will receive the benefits of a beautifully balanced practice along with breathing and a deep relaxation.

Thursdays from 6:15 - 7:00pm, September 22 - October 27. 

All experience levels welcome.  Ages 16 and up*. 

Participants are encouraged wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel or yoga mat and a bottle of water.

Due to space limitations, registration is required.

*Students ages 16 and 17 will need a parental permission waiver signed before class.  Please visit the Reference Desk for a copy of the waiver.

Join us for a discussion of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children! This will be a time to eat snacks, chit-chat, and talk about our opinions of the book before we watch the movie!

If you are anxiously awaiting the movie debut of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, now is your chance to see it! On Friday, September 30th,  join us for a 4:45pm showing at Towne Cinema. 
We will meet at the library at 4:20pm and walk over as a group.

The  first 20 teens that sign up will be able to go for FREE *!

*Only the cost of the ticket will be covered--please bring money for concessions!
Family Time at the Library
Bring Your Grandparents to the Library!

Celebrate Grandparents Day weekend with a visit to the library!  Bring your grandparent or favorite adult to the library for Saturday breakfast snacks and books, board games and crafts all weekend long.

Saturday and Sunday, September 10th & 11th.

All ages welcome!
