Executive Summary

The Association is abuzz with activity. September is quickly approaching and we have two huge events coming that promise to be full of fun and opportunity.

5th Annual Jim Dixon Golf Tournament: September 8th at The Glacier Club. We have sold out of player spots, but still have a couple of Hole Sponsorships available where you can set up your sponsor tent at the hole. It's a great chance to meet the players and enjoy the day.

Parade of Homes: Our premier event is soon approaching and we have some exciting new additions this year.
  • Parade Craze App: This free download allows you to navigate the parade from your Cell phone or tablet, preview Homes and map your course. Advertising opportunities are available as well - see below.
  • Builders & Sponsors VIP Ticket pick-up: September 6th at the Rochester Hotel - 4-6pm.

Summit County Builder Association is in need of POH Judges

They are looking for builders, designers and architects to make up judging teams. They need 3 people in each category.

The Parade dates are the weekends of September 17-18 and 24-25 with the judging happening on Thursday, September 15th and awards dinner on Friday, September 16th. They offer 1 night's complimentary lodging at the Baymont Hotel in Frisco. If judges want to stay additional nights, there is a special room rate for the Parade of Homes. If the judges would like to attend the awards dinner on Friday, September 16th, they invite them to do so at no cost.

HomeAidCommunity Service Invitation


Emil Wanatka of Timberline Builders is forming an ad-hoc committee to do some improvements sought out by Home Aid, Colorado Association of Home Builder's charity of choice. 

They are looking to make improvements at the Volunteers of America Homeless Shelter, and the Women's Safe House right here in Durango. These projects have historically been very instrumental in team building and forming lasting bonds among our members. Please get involved today!
