5 Things you Need to Know
1. Rally Day
Rally Day is this Sunday! Come visit and explore St. Peter's different ministries on August 28 as we prepare for the fall season. There will be games, dinner, and the chance to meet with our ministry leaders and learn about different programs St. Peter's offers and is included in. 2. Return of Christian Formation & Wednesday Nights
Christian Formation for all ages resumes Sunday, September 4, at 10:10 a.m.
Wednesday evening programming resumes September 7. Dinner at 5:45 p.m. followed by children's choirs, SPY (St. Peter's Youth), and adult faith formation opportunities.   

3. Labor Day Splash Bash 
Everyone's invited to a back to school Splash Bash on Monday, September 5, at the home of Courtney & Joe Massey located at 912 Sonoma Drive in McKinney. Chicken, beef & vegetable fajitas will be served. Bring your swimsuit and a side or salad to share. Respond to Georgia at [email protected] if you plan to attend. 
 
4. SPY - St Peter's Youth Kick Off        
On Sunday, September 11, we're going to Camp All Saints. Meet in the parish hall at 10:00 am. From there we'll load up and head to All Saints. After chapel and lunch, we'll begin the ropes courses. 8th Grade & up will start with high ropes and 5th-7th grade will start with low ropes. Then we'll switch. Pick up is at the St. Peter's parking lot at 5:00 pm. Registration closes when we have 30 signed up or September 4, which ever comes first.                         9:00 a.m. - Rite II, with music
                        10:10 a.m. - Christian Formation
                        11:00 a.m. - Rite II, with music

What's Happening
Christian Formation this Sunday 
This Sunday, August 28, children through 7th grade are invited to help prepare for Rally Day from 10:10 to 11:00 a.m. Children 3 years through 2nd grade are invited to attend Children's Church in Room 7 during the 11:00 service.   Children  3rd   grade and up will attend church with their families.

Youth Confirmation-Confirm Not Conform
Our confirmation program for students 8th grade & up begins September 11 at 9:10 a.m. in the Youth Room. Parents are asked to join their students for this first meeting. Confirm not Conform includes a service project, field trips, mentors, serving in worship, and a retreat.
 
Louisiana Flood Relief
The Episcopal Relief & Development is working around the clock with local clergy members, organizations and churches to distribute funds and gift cards to help families buy supplies, but more is needed.  You can  make an urgent gift to Episcopal Relief & Development today. Your generosity will go directly toward our US Disaster Fund-and help people whose lives have been turned upside down by this devastating flood. Brendon Kimbrough 
The Rev. Brendan Kimbrough has joined the staff of St. Peter's. Father Brendan is on loan from the Diocese (they are covering his salary) and will be working on our adult Christian formation, evangelism/newcomers, and more.

  Community Lifeline Celebration
The 1st Annual CLCelebration & Awards Dinner will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Sheraton Hotel in McKinney from 7-11 PM.  This festive event will feature cocktails, dinner and dancing to live entertainment.  Learn more about our service to families in crisis in McKinney and Northern Collin County as we give our inaugural awards to Lynn & Neil Sperry and Market Street, McKinney.  You won't want to miss the celebration!  Tickets are $150 each and can be purchased at  www.communitylifeline.org/events/celebrate2016/.
