Greetings ReStore shoppers and friends,
Today's email note is from the desk of Rochelle, President & CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Summit County. I get to learn a new skill today, not unlike the many volunteers that come to the construction site to help us build a house for a day, who have never hung siding, or taped drywall, or even set a window in place - today the staff are teaching "this old dog a new trick" on using technology. So if this e-newsletter is a little strange looking from those of the past, just go with it today and come join us tomorrow at the ReStore for our newest and greatest donated treasures and shop for what sparks your interest. BUT don't come on Saturday - the ReStore is closed this weekend, Saturday, July 4 so the staff can enjoy a much needed break and celebrate Independence Day with their family. We are open this week Thursday and Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Oh and for you runners out there - we have a great opportunity for you to kick off your celebration this weekend with the Firecracker 5K. This race is a fundraiser for our Hudson Coalition of churches and businesses that come together each year to raise money to build a home with Habitat for Humanity of Summit County. They provide hundreds of volunteers from the Hudson community and just over $40,000 in financial support to create dreams and brighter futures for one of our families. A link to the race details is below. I'm running this year - WHOSE JOINING ME??
Ok - my tutoring session is over and I'm ready to learn to send this thing so in the words of Rick...See you tomorrow.
