Back to School Wishes

The past few weeks have been dominated by the events and recovery in Historic Ellicott City. This issue is the first to return to our regular schedule of District 1 news. My team continues to dedicate time and energy to the recovery effort, while working on issues and ideas from constituents from across the entire district.

It's that time of year again... back to school in Howard county. On Monday, I visited four schools for their first day back: Burleigh Manor Middle, Bonnie Branch Middle, Ilchester Elementary and Hollifield Station Elementary. I was quite impressed by the enthusiasm and excitement I saw from the teachers and students. I was also amazed that the students in so many classes were already hard at work... and having fun too. Speaking of back to school... t his month an intern from Howard High School will my team for the school year.

I wish everyone the best of luck and a great school year.
