New Format

The Green Bulletin is getting a makeover! Along with our new website - scarce.org  - we're updating our e-news. To read more about a topic, click on the underlined title to be taken to the full article on our website. We hope this makes the Green Bulletin more user friendly and helps us better share news with you.

Late Tuesdays and 2nd/4th Saturdays at the Book Rescue return for the school year starting after Labor Day. Our first Saturday hours will be September 10th.

Did you hear? SCARCE helped write a law to reduce food waste in school lunchrooms by eliminating restrictive food service contracts.

The SCARCE Green Fair is back!  The highly anticipated annual SCARCE Green Fair will be held Sunday, October 23rd at the DuPage County Fairgrounds.  This fun, family event will feature live entertainment, a kids craft corner corner and plenty of food to keep the crowds happy!


The third annual post-Halloween Pumpkin Collection promises to be bigger than ever! High School students are needed to help smash pumpkins. Learn how to get involved or start a collection near you. 

The monthly electronics collections in Lisle and Wheaton are now accepting TVs and monitors of all kinds for a fee.
