NEW LINK FOR SENIORS CENTRES OF THE FUTURE SURVEY

You may have had difficulty accessing the survey using the link in last week's Link Letter. We've been provided with an updated link that will allow you to participate. The survey will be available until September 9.

The survey is part of a larger study exploring the role that senior centres might play in the future to help seniors "age-in-place". In essence, the question being asked is: What should senior centres look like in the future?

Anyone who is interested is invited to participate in this study by completing the survey. In particular, if you work with or care for a senior, are beginning to think about and plan for retirement, or are a senior yourself, the study coordinators would love to hear from you.
UNDERSTANDING VOTER NEEDS

The City of Edmonton's Office of the City Clerk undertook an initiative focusing on the voting experience to identify barriers and seek recommendations from those who identify as or represent Youth, Seniors, Aboriginal Peoples, New Canadians, and Persons with Disabilities. The final report and summary outline the public engagement findings and changes that can be made to improve the voting process.
CASL SURVEY

Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) regulates electronic messages
(e-mails, SMS texts, etc.) sent for commercial purposes, impacting some of the communications sent by non-profit organizations.

CASL is being reviewed in 2017 and Imagine Canada is conducting a survey to help inform their recommendations to the federal government, as well as produce a summary report of the impact of CASL on the non-profit sector.
