AND NOW A FEW WORDS...

This time of year is bitter sweet for people in the golf industry. The good news is that the busiest part of the season is over - the bad news is that the days are getting shorter and colder weather is around the corner. September is my favorite time of year to play golf. The course is in wonderful shape, the leaves will start to turn, and the days of 40 degrees Celsius are behind us (I think).
As many of you already know, Pam St. Michael will be moving on from Dragonfly Golf Links. Pam has been the heart and soul of the kitchen for the past two and a half years. She will be sorely missed by the entire Food and Beverage Department, by the rest of the Dragonfly Staff, and the thousands of patrons she has cooked for during her time with us. Best wishes Pam!
Don't worry Dragonfly patrons - we still have a cook. I am proud to say that Terri-Lynn Smith (Mahusky) has joined our team. She has been the cook (and resident favorite) at the Quail Creek retirement home for the past six years. Terri-Lynn has already proved herself to be a wonderful cook here at Dragonfly. We are thrilled to have her at Dragonfly and look forward to working with her to continue to drive the Food and Beverage Department to new heights.
Speaking of new heights and food... We set a record for members in 2016. Never happy with status quo, we want to grow again in 2017.
Any existing or new members who pays their 2017 membership before the end of September will qualify for a 10% kickback of the value of their membership in the form of a Food and Beverage Credit, or the equivalent value in Loyalty Points. For example: if your membership cost $999, your would qualify for $100 in food and beverage credit, or 1000 loyalty points.
Please note that after Monday Sept 5
th we will be opening the Pro Shop at 7:30, and the kitchen will not open until 11am. The kitchen will continue to open for breakfast on weekends until business slows down....(which we hope will not happen).

August was an amazing month for Hole-in-One's at Dragonfly! A BIG congratulations goes out to Ian Fabian, Randy Lacroix, Pam McFarlane, and Jason Stewart!
Ian and Jason each got their ace with a 7-iron on #18. Randy was on #5 with a 9-iron and Pam was on #5 with a 7-iron!

At Dragonfly Golf Links we appreciate your business and are happy to offer you our Loyalty Points program (
Dragonfly Loyalty Points
) where our points never expire and no card is required.
You will accumulate one DFLP (Dragonfly Loyalty Point) for every dollar you spend at the course (food, beverages, product or golf).
How do I accumulate points?
The first time you book a tee time or come to play at Dragonfly Golf Links, our awesome staff build your customer profile that includes your name, phone number, email address, etc.
Each time you make a purchase at Dragonfly, it's important to identify yourself to our staff so that you continue to earn DFLP.
At the point of purchase, DFLPs will be added to your profile and your total points (to date) will be printed on your receipt.
Again, it is important to make sure that we are adding transactions to YOUR profile. As an example, if you let your friend pay for your golf, and you pay him, your loyalty points will be awarded to his profile.
How Do I Check My Balance?
To check your DFLP balance, you can visit or call the Pro Shop or check the total DFLPs printed on your last receipt.
How Do I Redeem My DFLPs?
You can redeem your DFLPs by simply asking to redeem them when you check into the Pro Shop.
What Can I Get With My DFLPs?
Points can be used to pay for anything from green fees, power and pull cart rentals, golf club rentals, range balls and select food items. You can also use your DFLPs for up to 50% on Pro Shop soft good items.
* DFLPs can not to be used in conjunction with regular sale items or for alcoholic beverages.
Are there other things I can redeem points for?
Yes. Dragonfly offers terrific value by allowing you to purchase certain merchandise items using a combination of cash and DFLPs.
Here are some of the rewards that you can redeem your DFLPs for:
- 200 points = 9 hole green fee
- 400 points = 18 hole green fee
- 300 points = 1/2 cart rental
- 600 points = full cart rental
- 200 points = golf club rental
- 50 points = large bucket range balls
