Where do your RPA dues go? chrome books

In the past year, the RPA bought computers and tables for students as well as funded very comprehensive technology training for the teachers and staff.  It was money well spent.

RPA Presidents' Message

Many thanks to all of the families who came to the RPA BBQ.  We had an amazing turn out, and a good time was had by all.  It was a pleasure meeting so many new families and catching up with old ones.

We look forward to future fun!  The Fall Social is Sept 24 - please RSVP today!  We would also like to invite you to our monthly RPA Meeting this Friday, September 2nd at  8:30 am. Future meetings are held the first  Friday of each month and are always open to all parents and guardians.  The meetings are a great way to learn more about the school and get questions answered.

If you haven't paid your RPA dues yet -  this Friday  would be a great time to drop  them off. 100% participation is our goal and any amount is greatly appreciated!

Finally, we want to thank the community for the enthusiastic sign-ups on the many jobs (big and small) that allow the RPA to help students, teachers and staff.  Please see the side bar for more info about jobs that still need to be filled. Your help is pivotal for a terrific school year!

Cheers,

Mark Headley

What's Your Talent?

Are you a whiz with websites? How about a professional chair massage therapist? (Maybe during Teacher Appreciation Week you could help?).  Do you have an eye for design? Or, perhaps you excel in music or with a paint roller, or garden hoe?  What's your special skill that you can offer the Raskob Family?

The RPA is looking for new ways parents can use their skills and talents to help our school. Let us know, as we are looking for creative ways to serve our teachers and kids, raise funds, and reach out to the community to let others know about what a terrific school we have at Raskob. Contact: Margaret Gelini or Tiffin Groff so we may pass along your contact information; remember all your time counts towards the 20 hours of service to Raskob.  Thanks so much!

The school requires all families donate 20 hours of their time to the betterment of the school. All of these jobs help fulfill the 20 hour commitment and many of the jobs can be completed from the comfort of your own home.

Some of the jobs are helping with the book fair, teacher appreciation breakfasts, Sees candy sales, and planning the spring social gathering.
