The 'Picture a Better Tomorrow' Campaign has kicked off with more than $200,000 in contributions thus far. Workplace Campaigns have begun at UPS, BB&T, Target, AEP and City National Bank.

United Way of Central WV's annual Day of Caring is a community-wide event benefiting nonprofit agencies in Boone, Clay, Kanawha, Logan and Putnam counties. Day of Caring will offer more than 45 projects for volunteers to choose from including painting, landscaping, cleaning, mentoring youth and helping with mailings.

SunDae FunDae was held August 14th at The Mound in South Charleston. On one of the hottest days of the summer, more than 4,000 attendees enjoyed plenty of ice cream, toppings, interactive carnival games and fun entertainment!

United Way of Central West Virginia is looking for an
Accounting Associate
This part-time position is 25 hours per week or 1,300 hours annually.
Salary Range $10.00/hr-$12.00/hr
Job duties include the following: processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable-creation of monthly invoices, past due statements and assist with collections, recording of various monthly journal entries, creation of new campaign envelopes and general administrative duties such as answering the phone, scheduling meeting rooms, mail distribution, and daily log of checks received.
The position requires the following skills: Bookkeeping or Accounting experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy with data entry, analytical with problem solving skills, possess computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Great Plains financial software. Complete federal and state background check is required along with a NSOP check.
