Big Changes and Back to School

Looking Ahead at Heartline
If you are like many of us, turning the calendar and seeing "September" today left you feeling a bit bewildered. Where did August go? With summer wrapping up and kids heading back to school, we marveled at how quickly September arrived!

September is an exciting and busy month of transition for many of us, Heartline included. We wanted to share with you some of the changes happening this month at Heartline, both stateside and in Haiti.

Effective September 1, John McHoul will be stepping down from his role as Director of Heartline Ministries. There are not adequate words to express all that John's vision, leadership, and direction in this role have meant to so many of us, and how blessed we all feel to have been a part of that journey. John and Beth will remain in Haiti and will continue to be very involved with Heartline. Beth will continue her midwifery work, teaching, and mentoring at the Maternity Center. John will focus his time and efforts on our Men's Discipleship Program and Beltis Bakery. He will continue to be a trusted advisor and spiritual leader for everyone at Heartline.

Troy Livesay will step into the role of Director of Heartline Ministries. As most of you know, Troy and Tara Livesay have been an integral part of Heartline for more than eight years, and over the past several years Troy has worked closely with John as Co-Director of the ministry. Tara will assume greater responsibilities in managing and administrating the Maternity Center programs. We greatly appreciate your prayers through this transition and are excited to see what God has in store.

Also effective September 1, Frank Verdi will be leaving his position as Heartline Foundation Director to pursue other interests. Heartline Ministries is grateful for his dedicated service and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors. Concurrent with this change in leadership, the Heartline Foundation entity will be absorbed back into Heartline Ministries to reduce costs, streamline operations, and improve communication. All communications, donor relations, fundraising, mission team operations, sponsorship programs, and other support functions will return to operating directly under Heartline Ministries. Heartline is very grateful for the many contributions and passionate service of the Heartline Foundation staff and advisory board.

New Student Sponsorship Opportunities!

We are thrilled to announce that we are expanding our student sponsorship program. This fall, we hope to find sponsors for 20 additional students from Corail . With the support of a sponsor, these students will be able to receive an education and nutritious meals. We can't wait to introduce you to these precious kids! Make sure to follow us on Facebook to hear more about these opportunities.
