A Message from our President - Amy Munera
Hello San Diego!

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing summer. August went by so quickly! One of the highlights for my family was going to Surf Camp at La Jolla Shores. Now that it is September, we have turned our focus to back to school and all the great things that will be happening this fall. Be sure to visit www.meetup.com and our social media pages, inlcuding Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, for more information on our many support groups, most of which resume this month after a summer hiatus.

Surf Camp at La Jolla Shores is always a great time!

You won't want to miss our first annual  Walk, Rock 'N' Roll for Autism , happening on Saturday, September 10th at Cal State San Marcos.  This rocking 5K/1K and Family Festival will feature live music, a large resource fair, inflatables and other games, a special guest from our friends at Legoland California, food and drinks, and more! All proceeds from this event benefit our many recreational programs.

The weekend of September 30-October 1 we will be enjoying our first Family Camp in the hills of Julian at  YMCA's Camp Marston! All families will get indoor accommodations in newly remodeled cabins, and all meals and activities are included. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advanced notice.

Finally, be sure to save the date for our upcoming 50th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, October 22nd! This event will be the culmination of our 50th anniversary year, and should not be missed!

Wishing you a happy fall,

Amy
