Monthly Minutes
June 2016
A Message from Child Care Aware of NH
Welcome June with the sun shining, the breeze blowing and the birds singing.  Finally, longer days of June are here.

This month, Child Care Aware of New Hampshire's staff travels to Baltimore, Maryland for the NAEYC Professional  Development Institute.  This week long conference is a great team building event that CCAoNH attends every year.  It boasts great p rofessional development opportunities for staff, n etworking and a time to rejuvenate with new ideas abounding.

We have added another training to our calendar.  Look for details below.  As the weather turns warmer, the training calendar is winding down.  Child Care Aware of New Hampshire does not offer professional development opportunities during July and August but will resume offering trainings in September.  Be on the lookout, for our first year long training calendar.  This new process will allow Early Childhood Professional the opportunity to intentionally plan for professional development throughout the year!

We hope that everyone felt appreciated during May's Provider Appreciation Month.  We wish you a safe and healthy start to your summer and hope you enjoy this edition of Monthly Minutes.

Understanding the importance of child engagement in the early years is critical to supporting children’s social-emotional development and learning. This training will provide strategies that support children and reduce barriers to engagement, including challenging behaviors. Classroom design, curriculum, and teaching styles will be addressed to help participants understand their role in working with young children to promote interactions with the environment, adults, and most importantly, peers.
