Thanks for being a part of the legacy!

You are following in the footsteps of tens of thousands of former Wallace State students, including the first 59 who walked through the doors 50 years ago. Before then, students in the area had few opportunities to advance their education. Finances, distance and other factors all played a role in whether they could go to college. With the opening of what was then called the George C. Wallace State Trade School of Cullman County, area students were provided the opportunity to learn a trade that would let them build a career and help their families.

Since then, the college has grown by leaps and bounds, adding academic and health programs and even more technical programs to meet the needs of the community and area residents. Today, Wallace State is ranked among the best in the state and nation, and prides itself on continuing the tradition set five decades ago to offer its students the best education at an affordable price that puts your dreams and aspirations one step closer to fulfillment.

So as we begin this Fall 2016 semester, Wallace State would like to honor all of those who came before and welcome you as you add to the legacy that is Wallace State Community College.

And, if you take photos to document your time here at Wallace State, please feel free to tag us through our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
