Paint What You Feel
On Bronx News 12

Bronx News12 stopped in to tape Astor's Patrick Madden, as he teaches a class of Paint What You Feel to Astor Students in the Bronx. Pat is located in the Astor's Rhinebeck Residence most of the time, but took his program on the road and shared this incredible experience with some of our students in the Bronx.

The Pajama Project at Astor

Thank you to the  Pajama Program for donating books and pajamas to 40 of our kids at the Lawrence F. Hickey Center for Early Childhood Development. Our kids were thrilled to receive their new pj's and books. The  Pajama Program provides new pajamas and books to children in need nationwide.  Astor is grateful to partner with such an amazing organization!

We can't believe that summer is quickly coming to an end! We are so glad that our children have had the opportunity to enjoy the lazy days of summer! They have been engaging in a lot of summer activities (i.e., fishing, swimming, hikes, etc.).

We are incredibly fortunate to have supporters like Enterprise Rent-A-Car who contribute to our believe that ....every child deserves a childhood, by treating our children (and staff) in our Residential Programs (Rhinebeck)with an ice cream truck for a day! Our children especially enjoyed this generous gift on a recent hot summer's day. Check out our Facebook page for more photos. And while you're there, please take a peek at the recent coverage by Bronx News 12  of our  Paint What You Feel program in the Bronx, led by artist Patrick Madden, as well as more images from recent gifts by the Pajama Program to our kids in our Lawrence F. Hickey Center for Child Development, Bronx.

If you are going to be in Rhinebeck during the  annual Dutchess County Fair (Tuesday, August 23 - Sunday, August 28, 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.), please stop by and visit us! Astor will have a booth at B26. See Map Here.

As always, keep in touch with everything we're doing by visiting our website as well as FacebookTwitterLinkedIn &Instagram where news, events and photos are posted regularly.

Enjoy those remaining warm summer days!

Warmly,
Your Astor Family
