What's Happening?
The Mermaid in Rehoboth Bay has washed ashore!

If you know a child 2-8, or a mermaid lover of any age, this is the book for you. Truly amazing illustrations--each page a painting--by the talented Marcella Harte. Available at Browseabout Books, Kids' Ketch, Lilypad, Seaside Country Store or through the Cat & Mouse Press website. This book is not available from Amazon! If your local store doesn't have it, please ask them to contact us.

The Mermaid in Rehoboth Bay is a story that celebrates the beauty of the sea and tidal areas, and depicts two strong female characters who are able to confront their fears and achieve their goals on their own. Great care has been taken to depict realistic, age-appropriate children that readers will identify with. The story addresses themes of friendship, girl-empowerment, respect for differences, love of nature, and overcoming fears to achieve your goals.

The Sea Sprite Inn
Hot Launch on a Hot Day

An amazing number of people braved temps of 98 degrees and heat indices in the 115-degree range to toast the launch of The Sea Sprite Inn.

Author Lynnette Adair barely got a break from signing books, but the rest of the folks sampled wines, munched on food pairings, and enjoyed the lively conversation.

If you missed the launch, don't fret. The book is available at many local stores (including Browseabout) as well as online sources.

Beach Nights Update

The 23 stories selected for the next Rehoboth Beach Reads anthology, "Beach Nights" are currently being edited and readied for layout.

If your story was not chosen this year, please don't give up. Selecting the stories is always a tough decision for the judges, and every year some great stories get left out. It's not an exact science. That's why we encourage writers to revisit their stories when it's time for the next year's contest.

The launch party will be held at Browseabout Books in mid-November.

Sneak peek on next year's theme: we're leaning toward "Beach Life." Like it? Hate it? Let us know!

Many people check online reviews before purchasing a book, even if they are buying it from an independent bookstore. That's why reviews are so important to local writers and small publishers like us. For this reason, regardless of where/how you got your book, please take a moment to post a review on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes & Noble, or other online source.
