Dear GuitarSarasota Members and Friends,
I hope you all had a relaxing summer and that you are ready for an exciting GuitarSarasota Season.
We have some big announcements to share with you all: * We are pleased to announce that GuitarSarasota has partnered with the Historical Society of Sarasota County (HSOSC) for our Mini-Concert & Lecture Series which will now be held at the Crocker Memorial Church in Pioneer Park, 1260 12th Street, Sarasota.
* Our partnership with the HSOSC also includes joining forces for the #GivingChallenge16 fundraising event on September 20-21 from noon to noon organized by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
* Of course, you can donate throughout the 24-hour #GivingChallenge16, but we are hosting a Ring the Bell Party specifically for our supporters, donors, members, volunteers, and the community on Sep 20 from 4-7pm at the Crocker Memorial Church (details below).
* Because of your generous donations to GuitarSarasota, during last year's #GivingChallenge15, we are able to introduce classical guitar legend, Manuel Barreuco to Sarasota. This will be his first visit to Sarasota! Many of you have been waiting 11 years for this, and we are thrilled to let you know that last year's successful #GivingChallenge15 has allowed GuitarSarasota to finally make this dream a reality. Manuel Barrueco performs for GuitarSarasota audiences on Saturday, April 1, 2017 (this is not an April Fools joke, it is really happening)! Season tickets are on sale November 5-December 17, 2016 at guitarsarasota.org
Hope to see you all soon at our first #GivingChallenge16 event, and don't forget to Ring the Bell!
