November 16, 2015

This and the last couple of these messages have been sent from my Argentina office, located in Cafayate in the southern portion of the province of Salta. We're in northwest Argentina less than a day's drive from Chile to the west and Bolivia to the north. For those of you curious about how this is situated in South America, here is a map of west central South America. I am open for business via electronic communication (Skype, telephone, and email) from here until I return to the US in May 2016. I'll take this opportunity to highlight some of what has attracted me here, and to invite anyone interested in checking it out to let me know of your interest, make arrangements to visit (I'll be glad to advise on travel, hotels, etc,) and let me show you first-hand what delights await here.

My friend Doug Casey,who hails originally from Aspen, CO and still has a home there, is an investment adviser and newsletter author who has explored the world searching out obscure investment opportunities, often in real estate  Having lived in 10 different countries and visited most ot the countries in the world, about 10 years ago he identified Argentina as the best place in the world to live, considering climate, lifestyle, and availability of resources, among the most important factors. He assembled a group of investors, purchased the 1200-acre tract of land on which I now sit, and in 2007 began development of a very high quality resort community focused on wine, golf and horses. Gathering here now is arguably one of the liveliest communities of successful, astute, creative international minds in the world.

One of the central delights of this place is a general feeling of tranquility. Whenever you want to do something, unless you are stepping on someone else's toes, you just go do it. No one gets in your way. No one tells you how you must do it or how you may not do it.

People are direct, courteous, friendly and most of all unintrusive. Since there is very little opportunity for personal borrowing, even for home purchases, few people have any debt. When they want something they save until they can pay for it. Their lives are pretty simple compared to many elsewhere.

The community gathering here includes some of the best and brightest minds from all over the world. Nearly every one is of a decidedly libertarian conviction. We play golf, play cards, socialize, etc., and the intellectual stimulation is constant. I have as many close friends here as I do in NH. So things to do are abundant.

Some other characteristics of life here are;

There is almost no crime here.

Most transactions are simple exchanges of cash for goods - very little paperwork.

Low cost of living - I can live very comfortably on $1500-2000 per month.

Farm-to-table food - simple, healthy, delicious, lacking in harmful additives.

Near-perfect weather - 330 days of sunshine per year, little precipitation and agreeable temperature and humidity.

Abundant high quality water from a huge mountain spring fed aquifer.

Delightful Andes mountain scenery.

Good, inexpensive medical care.

Traffic as simple as everything else. No stop lights, few stop signs. Most people drive courteously and treat each other with respect.

Check out our little oasis at La Estancia de Cafayate, then call me or send me an email if you'd like to talk more about it and/or consider a visit. You really have to see it to fully appreciate it.

And, of course, if you'd like to explore ways to maximize Productivity in your Business, which stems from focus on your Purpose, and leads to more PROFIT (we abbreviate this as P3B - Purpose, Productivity, and PROFIT in Business), please visit our website, register for a free strategy session, and let's talk.

Have a great week and we'll see your here next week.
