New playground installed

A new playground, featuring an exciting range of climbing, spinning and equipment, has been installed in the Sandra Street Park, Woodpark, including new fencing along the Fairfield Road boundary.  The project was funded by Cumberland Council and grant funding from the NSW Government's 2015 Community Building Partnership Program.

Free e-waste recycling event

E-waste contains a multitude of components, some containing toxic substances that can have an adverse impact on human health and the environment if not handled properly.

Cumberland Council holds a series of e-waste recycling events each year to allow residents to dispose of e-waste safely and free of charge. The next e-waste drop-off day will be held on Saturday, 27 August from 9am to 4pm in the car park at the end of Euston Road, Auburn.

It's a great chance to get rid of your old computer or television, or other electrical items like game consoles, printers, DVD's and VCR's, telephones and kitchen appliances.

Please note that white goods (fridges, freezers, dishwashers, washing machines, clothes dryers)
televisions and monitors with cracked screens and batteries cannot be accepted. This event is for household e-waste only and no commercial e-waste will be accepted.

For more information call Council on 9735 1222 or 9840 9840.
