Your Monthly News & Updates
Dusk begins earlier and earlier each night, the CNE begins and the stores are jammed with eager or not so eager students preparing for another school year - all signs that the end of summer is in sight. We hope that you have had a great summer!
Fall is always a busy but really fulfilling time for us here at The Kidney Foundation, and we look forward to crossing paths with you at the Kidney Walk or one of our many fall events. As plans take shape, we are also looking to build on our team of fabulous volunteers. We now have a listing of current volunteer opportunities and we hope you will consider joining our dynamic team. The Kidney Foundation was built as a national organization over 50 years ago, and community volunteers are essential in order for us to fulfill our mission.

Meet Kidney Walk ambassador, Ruchi and her family, participants in our Mississauga Walk.
There is a lot to think about when starting dialysis. Health care teams generally do a great job of explaining and orienting newly diagnosed patients on what they can expect, however, there is often a lot of information to take in all at once and it can be overwhelming. We asked you, those who have been or are on dialysis, what you wish you had known before starting dialysis.
