Back in May, many of our schools who serve primarily students with special needs on the Gardiner Scholarship met to begin to network and collaborate with each other as a Professional Learning Community. Our first topic of discussion was on Post-Secondary Transition. This group will meet again later this year and expand on resources and ways to grow the transition services as well as other timely needs. The article below is a difficult topic to embrace, but critical to parental support for adult children with special needs.
