Ross Bryant enters Cobb Youth Leadership
Congratulations to DCS junior, Ross Bryant, on his acceptance into the Cobb Youth Leadership program for 2016-17.

CYL is a program for rising high school juniors that focuses on developing leadership skills through interactive participation. Created in 1989, CYL provides students a unique opportunity to learn about their community as well as meet and interact with students from other high schools.

Ross also spent five weeks this summer in the TAG-Ed internship program at Dell-Secureworks. This program is designed to increase awareness of the importance of STEM education and economic growth in Georgia.
We'd like to introduce you to ...
Mrs. Willis
History Teacher

A little background ...

Jillian Willis is from Woodbridge, VA where she taught middle school history and coached volleyball and soccer for 2 years.Mrs. Willis received her bachelor's degree in history from Bob Jones University and master's degree in education from Regent University.

What do you love to do outside of school?

" I love being outdoors hiking, kayaking, biking, playing Frisbee golf or reading a good book on the front porch."

Any interesting facts?

"I spent the last year in South Dakota and got to meet real Lakota Native Americans and visit Yellowstone National Park. I even pet a buffalo...just kidding."

Why did you choose Dominion?

"God truly blessed me by providing this opportunity at Dominion. The first day I came to Dominion in the spring, the students were preparing for their drama production in the lobby and I got to see how amazing and fun the students are. The administration and parents I met were friendly and inviting. The family atmosphere was something I felt and loved from day one. The grounds are beautiful and the many fun opportunities throughout the year such as retreat, end of the year trips, and Holiday House all drew me in to Dominion. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with such a great team of teachers or the opportunity to coach my favorite sports -- volleyball and soccer.

Support the DCS Rewards Programs
Parents,

Dominion participates in several rewards programs including Box Tops for Education, Labels for Education, Coke Rewards, Publix Partners, and Amazon Smile.

Box tops, Labels for Education, and Coke bottle caps/twelve pack certificates can be dropped off in the collection bin in the lobby or turned in to the front office.  For box tops, you do not have to trim them before you turn them in, but they will not accept expired box tops.

We have Publix Partner cards available to pick up at the front office as well.  All you have to do is have the cashier scan your card at checkout and a percentage of the money spent will be donated to our school.

Another simple way for Dominion to earn money is through the Amazon Smile Program.  They will donate 0.5% on eligible purchases to Dominion Christian Schools for those who participate in the program.  To get started, you must shop through their Amazon Smiles site: http://smile.amazon.com instead of the traditional Amazon site.  Once on this site, search for "Dominion Christian Schools, Inc." Marietta, GA and choose our school as the beneficiary.  You will then shop as usual (all products/prices are the same as the regular amazon site.)  If everyone participates, the 0.5% will add up to a respectable donation for Dominion.

Last year you all helped our school raise approximately $1200 from Box Tips, Coke Rewards, Labels for Education, Publix Partners, and Amazon Smile.  Thank you so much for your continued participation in all of these programs!
