The Bridal Party Should Frame the Happy Couple

The Brady Bunch's blended family wedding, 1960, combined the most trendy colors of the time for the ladies with the classic black suit and tie for the Gents.
Just like bookends, the wedding party should frame the happy couple. The colors and style of the wedding party attire should compliment the overall look and feel of the event. Perhaps that is why Carol and Mike's classic TV nuptials resulted in a day of disarray and mishaps before they finally arrived at happily ever after! Pink, golden yellow, black and maroon?  Oh my!

For the Men!
Allure Men, Steel Grey, 2 Button Notch

The Groom's attire and the rest of the men in the wedding party should compliment that of the Bride and Bridesmaids.
Formal Gowns should be accompanied by a formal suit or tuxedo.

A beach or afternoon affair may reflect the need for a more relaxed look.
Consider a light gray or a more casual look overall.

Choose a color for your bridesmaids that YOU
look good in.

Let's think about this for a minute. You're not  being demanding!  You will be surrounded by this color all day as well as in photos.  Feel free to choose a color that you look good in for your bridesmaid dresses! Carry this through your flowers and use it as an accent color.  Picture perfect!

not only featured, but were crowned champions on Food Network's show "Cake Wars"!  The episode just recently aired and we couldn't be more proud of Alice and her team! Congratulations and THANK YOU for making Hampton Roads shine to the rest of the nation! Cheers!

Bridal Party Trend Alert!
The challenge that many brides attempt to win is choosing a dress that their Bridesmaids will be able to "wear again".  While doing so is a very kind gesture, it can be difficult to choose one style that will accommodate several different silhouettes.  Thank goodness it remains a trend to choose one color/designer for the bridesmaids party, but allow your Maids to choose the "style of dress" that will best suit their shape.
Another trend we are seeing more of is prints and florals! We are crushing on this flowy floral print by Allure Maids.  Perfect for a beach or destination wedding and definitely one the gals in your wedding party can wear again!
The dark navy suit or tux is back and more gorgeous than ever!

And three cheers for the white dinner jacket!  Yay for a reemerging classic!
