Teens with cancer take on some fun in the sun...and the mountains!

In July, teenagers from Tomorrows Children's Fund at Hackensack Medical Center in New Jersey came to the ASF for some  summertime  fun.  These teens, who  are battling cancer, were treated to two days of swimming, kayaking, and R&R in the beautiful Catskill Mountains.  Teenage volunteers also joined the teens from Hackensack Medical Center for the two day retreat.

Wounded Warriors and their families enjoy a lake sports weekend getaway.

For the ninth year, the Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF)'s Warriors in Motion program hosted a two day event for injured United States servicemen and women.  The ASF brought 16 severely wounded warriors and their families to Burden Lake, located in Rensselaer County, New York on August 13th and 14th. Injuries included amputation, spinal cord injuries, nerve damage, visual impairment, traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic stress disorder.

Pencils, erasers & books... oh my.

$0.50 a day helps provide adaptive sports to children, adults and wounded warriors.

By contributing $15 a month for one year ($0.50 a day), you will help cover the actual costs of providing one lesson to an individual with special needs.  Programs like our monthly giving campaign allow ASF to offer services to individuals with disabilities at little to no cost to the participant.
