"Family: A Team Effort!" -  Week of the Family 2016 

The OCPS Parent Academy is an educational resource for all families, schools and community members. It was established to promote student success, parent growth and to provide vital educational opportunities to strengthen the connections between families, schools and the community.

November 12th  Parent Academy Breakout Sessions will include:

• It's Time to Talk About It:  Suicide Prevention for Families
• School Planning:  What Does it Take?
• Understanding the Grades that Schools Recieve from the State
• Florida Standards Resources:  A Family Toolkit
• How to Get Money for College:  FAFSA Help Session
• Naturalization 101
• Activities for Our "Unique Kids"
• Just Google It! - Using Google Apps to Keep Life Organized on the Go
• Read, Watch, Listen & Play:  Media for All Ages
• Migrant Education Program Annual Parent Meeting and Training
• Communication is Key for a Healthy and Happy Family
• With Math, I Can!
• Engaging Family and Children with Math in the Home:  Grade 6 - Algebra 1
• Healthcare Education for You and Your Family
• Identity and Culture in Our Community
• Coaching Your Team through Winning and Losing Seasons

And many other sessions as well.

Youth Academy ( ages 4 - 18) Breakout Sessions will include:
