Local 130 to start "Ask the Plumber" marketing for Plumbers 911, requests timely responses from lead calls

Local 130 is about to launch a multi-platform advertising campaign encompassing online, billboards and radio for its Plumbers 911 program. The Local reached out to participating contractors and has now recorded two spots, which will appear on WGN's "Ask Your Plumber" segment of Mr. Fix It with Lou Manfredini starting on Saturday, Sept. 3. Mr. Fix It airs from 7-10 a.m.

Local 130 is also seeking to increase the closure rate on leads and reminds participating contractors to have their plumbers call in when done to report whether or not the lead turned into a sale. After analyzing the call reports from the plumbers who did report back, Local 130 determined that wait time is the biggest factor in losing a sale. As a result, the Local will begin direct patch through of the customer calls from the call center to the contractor starting on Sept. 1 in hopes of diminishing the waiting time for the customer.
