James O. Breen Community Park

A rare chance to view the inner workings of the trucks, cars and tractors that are usually only viewed from a distance. Emergency vehicles, a garbage truck, street sweeper, tractor, dump truck, and crane may be among the many workhorses on display. Representatives will be on hand to offer 'tours' and answer questions about some of the equipment. Bring your camera!

At Riverside Banquets in Geneva, enjoy tea and munch on sweets before a fabulous fashion show. Each registered daughter will have the option to be a model, too. Clothes will be provided by Carson Pirie Scott at the Charlestowne Mall. Both parent and child(ren) register for this program. Information about becoming a model will be emailed to household registrant the week of October 17. Fee is per person.

Join the Primrose Farmers and Hickory Knolls Naturalists for a nature ride. That's right, folks - almost no hiking required! Budding naturalists will board this unique tractor-drawn wagon ride and explore the farm's fields, fencerows, and natural areas. Alight near Otter Creek and examine the wetlands. Grab your bug box and see what you can catch. Use a magnifying glass and a field guide to identify tracks along the trail. Ages 15 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. Ages 1 and under are free!
