TRE Vote - Yes To Frisco Teachers
Early Voting for the Tax Ratification Election (TRE) continues through August 23. (You can even vote early on Saturday August 20 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.) Election Day is August 27. Know the facts! Find important information regarding voting times and locations  HERE.

U.S. Service Academy Forum for the Third District of Texas - Collin County
U.S. Congressman Sam Johnson will be holding a free information session for students interested in learning about their options for a top-notch education at one of the four U.S. Service Academies. The forum will be on Saturday, September 24, at 9:30 AM at the Collin College Preston Ridge campus, located at 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco for interested students and parents. Please note that completed academy applications are due to Congressman Johnson's office no later than Monday, November 14. U.S. Service Academy Nominations - Denton County
The website of U.S. Congressman Michael Burgess provides information regarding nominations for students. Nomination packets for the Class of 2021 (entering the service academies in Summer 2017) may be requested by sending an email to Robin Vaughan. Please provide name, home physical address (and mailing address, if different), home and cell phone numbers, email address, school and graduation date. 
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) teaches middle and high school go-getters how to start and run their own, REAL businesses.

The application for this year's YEA! class is due no later than 5:00 PM on September 30, 2016.
YEA! Alum Signs Record Deal
16 year old Mateo Meija, a 2016 graduate of the YEA! Frisco class hosted at the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, is the CEO of Impact Music Productions.  At the age of 13 he was inspired to create his own music.  In early August 2016, Mateo signed a record deal with Honor Roll Entertainment.  Impact Music Productions creates high-quality beats and sounds at an affordable price for local artists to share their message with the world.  He is working on a full album and his music, along with his newest song called DR3AM$, is available on soundcloud.

The Frisco Chamber of Commerce is pleased to bring you another monthly Business After Hours on September 1.  The event is co-hosted by Noah's Event Venue  and Bonnie Ruth's Cafe  et Patisserie and will be held at Noah's Event Venue at 5280 Town SE Square Drive in Plano.  Registration is required for this event.

All Blood Types Are Missing and Carter BloodCare Needs Your Help
Please help spread the urgent and time-sensitive
message! Carter BloodCare currently has a lower-than-preferred level of all blood types and urges you to
make an appointment to give or attend a blood drive in the next few days.

This week Carter BloodCare is participating in the #MissingType campaign and the blood center
is experiencing an actual Missing Type situation. Please fill in the gaps with your blood type so it
is there for local hospital patients.

School Supply Drive
As you wrap up your back to school errands, please pick up an extra box of pencils, some Kleenex, folders, paper and/or pens. Then come to the Frisco Farmers Market on Saturday, August 20 to drop off the supplies! The donations will be passed along to the teachers at FISD Title 1 schools, who will use the surplus of supplies to help the kids in our community that need them the most! Read more....
