MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUPS & BOWLING
AHA SUPPORT MEETING
S
Join us at our monthly support meetings.
There is no charge and it is not necessary to pre-register. All are welcome to attend.
We have several groups to meet your individual needs:
support for family members of school age children, families of teens in transition, families of older teens and adults, teen and adult groups for individuals on the spectrum, an adult sibling group and a women's adult group.
Note:
Families of Older Teens and Adults Group has a new location and day ~ Mondays at YAI, 995 Fulton Street, Farmingdale.
Join AHA's Bernice, Leslie and YAI's Dennis to discuss the issues and concerns that arise for parents/caregivers/family members concerning young adulthood and adulthood and living well with an autism spectrum diagnosis. Bernice Polinsky and Leslie Fienberg collectively have years of parenting, facilitating supporting and networking. Dennis Zettegren, LMSW, MSC (Medicaid Service Coordinator) is a benefit specialist and intake coordinator for YAI Network on Long Island. Contact: berniceP@ahany.org
Future meeting dates can be found on our website:
ahany.org
Our support meetings are for adults. The presence of children may be distracting and disruptive to participants. We regret any inconvenience; however, children will not be admitted to meetings.
Membership in AHA is strongly encouraged. Membership includes discounts at our twice-yearly conferences and other events. Support our work to educate, advocate, and create activities for families and individuals affected by the autism spectrum. Your involvement will also make membership/conference scholarships available to students interested in our field of study, individuals determined to become independent adults, and their families.
Become a member of AHA at any of our support meetings or join online.

Receiving the AHA eNews does not mean that you are members of AHA. The
AHA eNews is a service to our members and the ASD community. Consider supporting our organization by joining. Membership supports the eNews, free support meetings, talks, our information and referral phone and email, and subsidizes our conferences. It also allows us to offer scholarships for membership and conferences to families or individuals.
