Alive after Five - August 22 through September 2
Downtown Kamloops officially becomes the place to be this summer as local merchants, eateries, cafes and retailers open their doors until 9:00pm weekdays nightly! Coined, "Alive after Five" this summer celebration embraces all the things we love about Kamloops' downtown - live music, sidewalk dining, warm temperatures, natural gathering places all in the spirit of supporting local, distinctly Kamloops experiences.
This initiative is the result of a new collaborative group called Focus Downtown, which includes the Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association, your Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Kamloops, Rocky Mountaineer, Venture Kamloops and City of Kamloops and supported by the downtown merchants to unveil a Kamloops experience.
There will be FREE PARKING after 5PM on the 200, 300 and 400 blocks downtown to help make your evening stroll a little more enjoyable!

Pamela Johnson of Fulton & Company LLP will be presenting the changes coming into effect this November for societies in BC.
The new Societies Act (BC) will come into force on November 28, 2016 and replace the existing governance rules of the current Societies Act (BC). The new Societies Act contemplates a two period in which societies must then transition by restating the text of their constitution and bylaws to the conformity of the new Societies Act.
This seminar explains the major changes to the Act impacting non-profits and provides information as to planning for transition.
