A Just Harvest - Saturday, August 27 - We Need You!
The summer months are challenging as people are in and out of town before school begins. Of course, the need for meals and servers at A Just Harvest does not change, and our volunteers are wonderful at stepping in to lend a hand...even during the crazy days of summer!
Saturday, August 27 we need 4 servers.
We encourage all parishioners - young and old - to get involved in this worthwhile and meaningful outreach. If you're unsure how to begin, just send a quick email and we're happy to explore with you the variety of options for participation this fall. If you have any questions please contact Suzie Peregrine or Jenny Smith.

Feed My Starving Children ~Turn Hunger into Hope with Your Own Two Hands~
Saturday, September 10, from 9AM to 11AM, Christ Church will travel to Libertyville, Illinois to help Feed My Starving Children. We have decided to carpool instead of spending the money on tour buses. We will gather in the parking lot of Christ Church behind the 470 Maple Street address at 7:45AM. We will leave promptly at 8AM. We will return at noon. We committed to bring 80 people. Please email
Phil Krone to sign up to pack.
More importantly for us, they accept volunteers as young as 5 when accompanied by an adult. This means that for families with small children, this can be an event that everyone can participate in together.

Taizé Service on Sunday, September 11
On Sunday, September 11, the fifteenth anniversary of 9/11, Christ Church will offer a 6:00PM Taizé service of remembrance. This candlelit, contemplative liturgy will include readings, prayers, and silence interspersed with lovely musical chants. Please join us as we pray together for healing and peace, moving from the darkness of 9/11 into the light of God.
