Santa Clara Visitors Building Itineraries on Utrip Pro

The Convention & Visitors Bureau's (CVB) implementation of the UTrip PRO itinerary builder technology on its website is benefiting visitors to Santa Clara. Over 2,700 user sessions in the last four months gave visitors suggestions on things to do and places to eat in the city. In addition, over 500 trip itineraries have been built (an average of 125 per month) during the last four months.
The trip planner gives valuable insight into the type of visitors that are coming to Santa Clara. Over a third of users selected the Build Your Own (33.8%) itinerary followed closely by First Timer (26.8%) and Family Friendly (23.4%). Featured Trips were Family Fun in Santa Clara (54.5%), First Timer in Santa Clara (36.4%) and Sports Fan in Santa Clara (9.1%). In addition, 91% users are "New Visitors" to the Santa Clara Utrip information with 9% "Returned Visitors".


Groups Sales Staff meets with Event Planners

Priscilla DeLeon, CVB National Sales Manager and Cary Keesecker, CVB Convention Sales and Services Manager attended conferences in the Pittsburgh, PA area last month.  Priscilla met with Connect Association Marketplace planners while Cary met with qualified buyers from Connect Sports Association. The two conferences resulted in completion of approximately 100 pre-arranged appointments. 

Cary Keesecker, Convention Sales & Services Manager, has been working with the Super Bowl Host Committee on increasing the volunteer base for events surrounding the Super Bowl. She's also been working on finalizing logistics and applications for the installation of  Super Bowl banners on streets near Levi's Stadium. 

CVB represented at Industry Meetings

Colleen Head Kees, Director of Association Sales, attended the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE) Education Luncheon in August meeting with various planners that belong to California State Associations.

Sharon Covey, Business Development Manager, attended the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE) Education Luncheon in Sacramento. She met with several meeting planners that belong to California State Associations and received an RFP from one of the association meeting planners.
