Drug-Free Coalition Awards Over $90,000 to Local Agencies

Each year the Coalition awards grants to local law enforcement and community organizations that provide alcohol and other drug prevention, intervention, and treatment services to Tippecanoe County residents.

 Congratulations to the following grantees! 

Law Enforcement/Judicial
  • Tippecanoe County Drug-Task Force:  Increasing efficiency and effectiveness - $23,998 
  • West Lafayette Police Department: Technology Improvements - $8,170
  • Purdue Police Department: Handheld LIDAR units - $1,795
Prevention/Eduction
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters:  Youth Mentoring - $12,681
  • McCutcheon High School:  Just One Night program - $5,400
  • Purdue College of Pharmacy: Rx Drug Abuse Prevention - $5,000

Treatment/Intervention

  • NAMI-WCI:  Peer to Peer & Family to Family Support Groups - $6,500
  • Superior Court III:  Youth Substance Abuse Assessments - $3,000
  • SURF Center:  Recovery Services - $13,800
  • Willowstone Family Services:  Insight - $10,663

Local Volunteer Opportunities

Mental Health America

MHA's Crisis Center is looking for volunteers.  " All you have to do is care, we can teach the rest."  Click here or contact MHA at 765-742-1800 for more information.  

Drug-Free Coalition of Tippecanoe County

The Coalition will have an information booth at upcoming community events.  We are looking for volunteers to help in 2 hours shifts. Volunteers from local non-profits may also display your agency information at our booth.
