Attention football fans -- our annual pre-season ticket drawing is underway! Win 2 tickets plus parking for the September 1 New York Giants vs. New England Patriots game. Chances are $5 each or 5 for $20, available at the Circulation Desk. The drawing is August 26; winner will be notified by phone. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, all proceeds benefit Wilton Library.

Exploring Virtual Reality with Google Cardboard

Monday, August 22 @6pm

Wondering what all the buzz is about virtual reality? Join in this beginner's workshop where you'll get your own VR cardboard headset for your smartphone and learn how to explore various apps. Must have an Android 4.1 or higher OR an iOS 8.0 or higher. Larger phones with 4-6" screen sizes can be supported. For teens entering grades 8+ and adults. Materials fee is $15 payable upon arrival. Send Your Young Wizards to Hogwarts Summer Camp

Thursday, September 1, from 9am to 5pm

Treat your children to a final day of summer fun -- send them back to school with Harry Potter! Children in grades 3-5 are invited to go back to Hogwarts as part of an all-day Hogwarts Summer Camp fundraiser to benefit the Children's Library. Young wizards will be sorted into the four houses and attend a variety of magical classes and fun activities. Lunch is generously donated by Wilton's own Pinocchio's Pizza. Register in person in the Children's Library; the cost to participate is $55 per child. (Please note -- the camp is being held on the same day as Meet the Teacher at Cider Mill. Parents are welcome to take their children out during their Meet the Teacher hour and then return for re-entry.)
