Art in the Garden Supplies

Our lovely annual garden event,  Art in the Garden, is September 16th from 3:30-6:00 p.m . We need your help gathering supplies so our students can create their masterpieces!

You may drop these items off in the buckets located in the school lobby:
  • cardboard tubes from toilet paper, gift wrap or paper towel rolls
  • beads
  • bells
  • google eyes
  • old silverware or trinkets that could hang as a chime
  • smaller pieces of scrap wood

5th Grade Fundraising

Prairie has a long-standing tradition of offering its 6th graders opportunities that help transform them from elementary students to middle schoolers.
  • They develop teamwork and relationship-building skills at Wildwood (a 4-day outdoor adventure camp)
  • Learn entrepreneurship through Village People (where they work businesses in the Village)
  • Collaborate with classmates to develop their "brand" (commemorative t-shirts).
  • The year ends with a reception honoring their time at Prairie.
What makes this incredible year possible? YOU. Fundraising is the the only way we can afford our 6th graders these opportunities .

This year you'll see the following fundraisers promoted. We encourage you to participate in them if you can, to help our 5th graders fund their 6th grade year:
  • Dinner/drinks at Art in the Garden
  • Pancake breakfasts
  • Scrips gift cards
  • Plant Sale
If you're a 5th grade parent and would like to volunteer please contact Andree Debauge-Dailey .

Thanks for Dining at Chipotle!

We're so grateful to everyone who participated in the Chipotle Dining Out Night - we earned $998.13!

Pat yourselves on the back for supporting Prairie just by having dinner. And thank you to Kate Sullinger for planning the event.

Keep watching the newsletter for future Dining Out Nights to help us keep earning money for our students!
